Broccoli Cheese Custard

500 g pkg frozen broccoli
1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp each of pepper and garlic powder
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
3 eggs, well beaten
1 tbsp butter or margarine

Place frozen broccoli in 1/2 cup of boiling water in a covered saucepan.  Place over heat.  Bring to a boil.  Simmer for 5 minutes until broccoli is broken up.  Drain well.  Chop into smaller pieces.

Combine broccoli, Swiss cheese, Parmesan cheese, and sour cream.

In a separate bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, flour, and baking powder.  Add to the broccoli.  Stir in the eggs.

Spoon broccoli mixture into a buttered 1-1/2 quart casserole dish.  Bake at 350F for 35 to 40 minutes until set.

Serve hot or warm.  Serves 4 to 6.

Note:  You can substitute 1/2 tsp of dried basil or oregano for the salt.

Note:  Good served with grilled steak, broiled tomato halves, and French bread.
