Stamping with Paint - Challenge #3

I really enjoyed the third challenge because I enjoy paint.

Second challenge - inspiration

The second challenge for our online crop today was to get inspired by this link.  http://scrapbookingtechnique.blogspot.ca/2014/01/smore-techniques-please_17.html I used the jute and brads and dry brushing with acrylic paints on a layout about my Nanna.

New Washi Tape Ideas

Mom & I are cropping today and participating in an online crop I'm hosting at Crafting Made Simple. The first challenge was to use washi tape in some new ways. I used the washi tape to create stickers, cover chipboard letters and to create a journal box. Mom used her newest roll of washi tape to create a title block which made her title pop up quite nicely.

June 12 Online Crop . . . Challenge #5

Challenge #5 is a colour palette challenge found at S.W.A.T.   I was pretty happy to see that several of the colours were in the Memories on Main St. (Lambeth, ON) June challenge kit so I used it as the base of my layout.

June 12 Online Crop . . . Challenge #4

I got a little carried away with Challenge $4 which is from ScrapMuch?   I had 10 leftover photos from scrapbooking my Ottawa-Toronto trip with Hal in the big truck.  This sketch was perfect to finish them off.

June 12 Online Crop . . . Challenge #3

Challenge #3 comes from Creating with Paper and More  and here is my layout.

June 12 Online Crop . . . Challenge #2

Challenge #2 comes from Love To Scrap!  and here is my layout.

June 12 Online Crop . . . Challenge #1

I'm hosting an online crop today at  http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/crafting_made_simple/ . The first challenge just posted at 10 am.  I borrowed the challenge from  http://createdbylisa.blogspot.ca/2013/05/i-hope-you-are-enjoying-my-kit.html  . Here is my finished layout. Challenge #2 just posted.  See ya.

Online Crop on Wednesday . . .

Online crop tomorrow!!!!! Okay for all you newbies to online cropping, here is how it is done . . . you need to join a yahoo group  http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/crafting_made_simple/   Despite the fact I'm a computer idiot, if you have  trouble joining I will try and help but it must be simple because I was able to do it. Starting at 9:55 am Wednesday the group will be posting some great challenges using sketches, math, embellishments, colours and I forget what all else . . . LOL . . . Do as many challenges as you want. There is no winner here and no time limits . . . just the satisfaction of getting a little scrapping done. Visitors are welcome in my studio. I may still be in my pyjamas and I don't guarantee that I will be wearing any foundation garments. My house may or may not be clean. Lunch is grilled cheese. I'm looking soooooo forward to some not-so-serious scrapbooking. Enjoy!!

CHALLENGE #3

Here is the challenge:   http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/crafting_made_simple/message/883 And here's where it came from:   http://cateredcrop.com/2013/04/14/just-add-glitter-recipe-swap/

CHALLENGE #2

I just finished the second challenge in my online crop today . . . yes, I know I am slow but on this simple layout and had to reteach myself how to use WordArt to create titles and then it all had to be handcut.  Not complaining.  I love cutting paper.  And of course I had to write the story to go with. Here's the challenge:   http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/crafting_made_simple/message/882 And here's the original link:   http://thepapergirlschallenge.blogspot.ca/2013/04/challenge-30-travel.html

12 Hour Online Crop Today

I got some scrapbooking done at the Pink Scrappers Crop on the weekend and it has really put me in the mood to crops some more . . . so I've posted 12 awesome challenges starting at 12 pm EST.  You have to be a member of  http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/crafting_made_simple/  to get the challenges.  I hope you will join in.

What do I do all day you ask . . .

. . . so I'm going to drag you through one of my "normal" days . . .  I have a to do list . . . The Dreaded To Do List . . . and my own weird way of working it.  I have listed all my chores I need to do and then added all the projects I am working on, setting aside 1/2 hour each day for each project.  You will see several of these projects as the day unfolds.  My rule is I can't move a chore or project forward on my list; it must stay on the day it should have been done.  So in effect today is November 1, 2011 IN MY WORLD.  I wonder how many days I'll be able to scratch off today?   I read the Nov. 1 installment of A Tale of Two Cities through Daily Lit . I finished step one of the November 1 2011 mystery knit-along dishcloth. Learn to Knit and Crochet In a relaxing atmosphere Individual or class instruction At very reasonable rates. The Sunday after Scrapfest . . .

Krista dropped me off at home after midnight Sunday morning and the unpacking began.  I knew Hal had been looking after the younger grandsons while I'd been gone so I wasn't optimistic about the condition the apartment would be in.  What a relief to see that it was tidy.  I made a cup of tea and plopped into my favourite chair, intent on winding down and watching a little TV.  Hal had written I love you in the dust on the TV screen.  Yes, it is kind of cute and I'm sure Hal thought he was being very romantic.  But seriously romantic would have been actually dusting the TV . . . LOL . . . I finally fell asleep around 2 am and slept like a baby.  When I woke up though I felt like I'd been in a war.  I decided right away to take it very easy . . . I pulled out my Dreaded To Do List at some point during the afternoon but didn't really accomplish all that much.  But my love seat is once again beginning to be taken over with projects.  It...

Scrapfest Day 2

There was no continental breakfast so we brought along a toaster to make breakfast in our rooms.  We set off the smoke detector the first morning. I couldn't find a way to take a photo of the whole Marketplace so here is just one section. The vendor who planned this make n take was very clever. They gave us the covers, pages, and binding. For $5.00 we could get all the papers and embellishments to finish off the entire album. I don't know what I'm going to use this album for but I just had to have it. I've been wanting to make this album for a while now but couldn't find the perfect chipboard album. As I was making a make n take, I spotted this one and grabbed it . . . my only real splurge of the weekend. Another great make n take. This was a $3.00 class.  I will be making lots of these flowers. When the crop ended 9 pm Saturday evening, we packed up and headed out for a hot meal before the ride home.  We had a great t...
