Day 13 of our East Coast Trip ~ Quebec City to Gananoque, ON

Except for one stop to pick up a letterbox and the occasional Tim Hortons stop, today was spent driving from Quebec City to Gananoque ON.  Translation . . . I dozed and Hal drove. We had planned on supper at our hotel, Ramada by Wyndham Gananoque Provincial Inn (how's that for a confusing long name?), but the restaurant served only Indian and Pakistani cuisine.  There was not even a sandwich or burger on the menu . . . sigh . . . I would have been fine but you know Hal wasn't having it. Supper was at a nearby Chinese Buffet (Hal even had a Chinese beer called Tsingtao) and then we settled into our room for the evening.  We have Sportsnet so we are watching the Raptors game. Looking forward to being home tomorrow.

Day 12 of our East Coast Road Trip ~ Moncton to Quebec City

We are now in getting home mode so a lot of driving today. Our first stop was to check out the Garrison district in Fredericton.  And look . . . another lighthouse.     We took the tour at Covered Bridge Potato Chips factory and shop in Hartland NB.  It is an  old fashioned kettle chip company with old country taste and tradition.  It was really  fascinating to watch them make the chips.  And delicious.  We did a little bit of shopping in the gift shop on our way out.   We couldn't leave the area without checking in at the Hartland Covered Bridge which is the world's longest covered bridge at 1,282 feet (391 meters) long. The Petit-Sault Blockhouse in Edmunston NB has a very interesting history . We finally reached Quebec City and checked into our motel for the night.   Sadly, Quebec City left us with a bad im...

Mostly a driving day but we still managed to have fun on Day 12 of our road trip

We are checked in to our motel in Quebec City tonight.  Tomorrow is another driving day with a stop or two along the way.
