If you love gothic fiction, you may just love The Distant Hours by Kate Morton. It is a long meandering book, rich in detail. So many secrets to reveal. Of course, any crumbling castle worth its salt must have secrets and the three Blythe sisters have so many. Of course, so does the main character, Edie. The secrets of Edie's mother's past is also connected to Milderhurst Castle, where she was billeted during the second World War.
A good book to enjoy with a hot cup of tea on a cold winter night. Enjoy!
