Remembering the Railroads

Every May we host a letterboxing meet-up here in St. Thomas.  Every year we choose a different theme -- this year was Remembering the Railroads.  We were set up and ready when the first boxers arrived at 8 am in Waterworks Park.  We had guests from as far as Michigan and eastern Ontario.  It was cool and damp in the morning but, as the weatherman promised, the sun was out by afternoon.  I want to send out a huge thank you to everyone who participated and thanks for leaving some boxes behind for us to find as well.  We are looking forward to Box ON near Guelph this fall.

Isn't this specially made stamp set and box amazing?!

The first order of business -- sharing stories, exchanging signature stamps and personal travellers,
stamping into the event boxes and hiding cooties.

Before long everyone was off to find letterboxes.

Lunch was pot luck.  Hal and I provided hot veggie soup and hot dogs to help take the chill off.

Group shot before we all split into groups to continue letterboxing.
