I was thrilled to go to the movies on cheap night and see Spy .  It was hysterically funny!!!!! . . . and the best part is that only a couple of funny bits are in the trailer . . . there is so much more to see. You must go see Spy . . . because it is awesome and it stars Melissa McCarthy who I absolutely love. . . and it has my favourite Call the Midwife actor, Miranda Hart . . . Chummy!!!!

1-2/3 cups strawberries 1/2 cup strawberry jam 1 cup whipping cream 35% Prepare the mold (I used a loaf pan) by lining it with aluminum foil. Let some foil protrude over the edge to help unmold the ice cream «block» when ready. Hull the strawberries, halve them lengthwise, then put them in a blender.  Add the strawberry jam and mix at maximum speed until a smooth consistency is obtained. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and set aside.   In another bowl, using an electric mixer, whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Add the whipped cream to the large bowl and fold it into the strawberry mixture using a spatula.   Pour the cream-strawberry mixture into the prepared mold. Wrap it with aluminum foil and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight. About 20-30 min before you are ready to serve, unmold the whole ice cream onto a plate and let it sit for a while at room temperature to allow the ice cream to be softer ...

I invited a few friends to join me on a journey to document my real life for one whole week.  I've wanted to do this project for years.  I finally started a couple of weeks ago . . . but it was a false start as I realized I wasn't taking enough photos.  So I started fresh this past Sunday. Here are the photos I took today . . . It was time to restock the bar fridge. Our kittens were pilfering potatoes this morning. I finally got to see my 103-year-old Nanna for the first time since Mother's Day. She's become a hippy with her long hair. Only one visitor was allowed so I snapped a few photos and left.
