Today's Writing Prompt: You Win!

It's the end of your life, and you are up on stage receiving a major national / international award. Congrats! So what award are you being honored with, and for what?

I have been thinking of the answer for this question for days now . . . I just don't know.  So what award do you think I should win?

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

1760 - Irish soldiers of the Montreal Garrison may have celebrated the first St. Patrick's Day in Canada, following the British conquest of New France.

1765 - First Canadian St. Patrick's Day on record celebrated by Irish troops serving in the British Army at Qu├ębec.

1824 - Montreal Irish hold their first St. Patrick's Day parade. Montreal's parade is the longest continually running St. Patrick's Day parade in the World, celebrating its 187th anniversary in 2011.

1955 - Montreal Canadiens star Maurice 'Rocket' Richard is suspended from the NHL by league president Clarence Campbell, sparking a 7 hour riot along Ste-Catherine St. in Montreal, with 100 arrests.

1985 - Brian Mulroney welcomes President Ronald Reagan to a Canada-US Summit meeting in the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec; it was called the Shamrock Summit because of their common Irish ancestry and the date - St. Patrick's Day.
